Dressed Sem priest attire, a cheetah hide dress with a seven-pointed symbol 𓋇over her head. The true meaning is unknown for sure, but some say it is a 7 pointed star or a palm frond. Sir Alan Gardiner conventionalized flower (?) surmounted by horns (This might point to Sefkhet-Abwy, her NK name meaning "she who wears the seven points/horns") . Her symbol has a similar to /wpt-rnpt/ 𓄍 "First day of the year" but inverted which consists of a pare of hors with a palm stem. It could also possibly be a type of groma (Roman surveying instrument). Others have called it a 'star surmounted by a bow', but stars in the ancient Egyptian conventionally had five points 𓇼, not seven like the image in Seshat's emblem so a start is unlikly. H. Peter Aleff claims it might be a hemp leaf (modern take) which might point at the rope she uses for her measuring cord. Hemp was present in pre-Dynastic Egypt used for ropes and some was found in a few tombs, so it is not out of the realm of possibilities, however unlikley looking at her histroy. She carries a palm stem that is notched and she records the passage of time, she also carries a knotted cord used to survey the land and structures. So it is more likely that it is a palm frond over her head and not a hemp leaf. It has also been sugested Seshat being the goddess of writing it is possibly a papyrus frond, papyrus was used for writing paper. She presided over the house of life/ per-ānkh and the house of books/ per-mDAt 'Library' She would assist the King with stretching of the cord, and laying out plans for the structure of the temple. She was the patron of scribes she also was known for her geometry as well as righteousness and harmony. Her emblem has possible connections the pentagram and golden ratio. It sometimes it incorrectly shown as a start with two snakes but this is unlikly as snakes are not assicated with her.
