Sometimes confused with the female goddess Bat of Saka of nome 17th Nome Upper Egypt Anpu. Bata/bt is the brother of Anpu in Tale of Two Brothers set in the 17th Nome Upper Egypt Anpu. Shown with his brother Anpu 17th Nome. Because in the Late Period he is likened to Set, it is said Anpu perused Set and castrated him and so it is said Bata's castrated by Anpu after the demonification of Set and mentioned in the Papyrus D'Orbiney. He has also been said to be the Death god bt.
