The Capital City was called Wten-ha or sA-kA/Saka (Hwt-nTr Anpu) better known by the Greek name κυνοπολίτης/Cynopolis 'The City of the dogs', the modern City of القيس /El-Kays, El-Kaïs or Al-Qays in the Region of Al Minya. Dog mummies have been found on the opposite bank near Sheykh Fodi. The City lies between Nikafar and Oxyrhinchus.
