Protective household goddess of birth giving. Like Khnemu/Khnumshe was the creator of each child's Ka, a part of their soul, which she breathed into them wile still in the uterus and announces thier destiny at the moment of birth. Know for the Egyptian method of birth giving where a women squats over a pair of special bricks called birth bricks. She is assicated with fate and prohesis. Sometimes she helps with the judgement of the dead. Often acopanies by other gods such as Khnemu/Khnum, Auste/ Isis, Nebet-Hut/ Nephthys and Heqet sometimes ocnsidered the emissaries of Rā.
